Need a child seat?
Travelling with children always takes a bit more effort. We know there’s a lot to organise and even more to carry, which is why we make sure every Yellowfish transfer offers free baby and child seats. Use ours so you don’t have to bring your own!
Portuguese law says that every child under 12 must use a baby or child (booster) seat. If you need one for your transfer, it’s easy:
- Tell us when booking or add it later, but at least 24 hours before your transfer.
- Pay nothing.
- Let us know the age and weight of your child and we’ll make sure our driver has the appropriate seat with them.
- Travel in safety and comfort.
Bringing your own?
If you prefer to bring your own baby or child seat, that’s fine too. To make sure everything fits and we comply with our insurance obligations, we have a few criteria your seat needs to meet for us to use it:
- Your car seat must be UN R44/R129-approved to meet Portuguese regulations.
- The base of your seat can’t be any bigger than 40x40 cm (15.7x15.7 inches).
- It’s your responsibility as the parent to make sure your child is securely in place.
- We recommend your baby is at least seven days old before travelling with us.
And if you’re bringing your own pushchair we’ll simply transport it with the rest of your luggage.
